Rating: 4 out of 5.

Virr has some fun in this track.

There’s a free-spirited edge to Jacksonville-born singer-songwriter Virr that makes his music instantly intriguing. Known for blending old-school hip-hop, R&B, and electro-hop into energetic soundscapes, Virr’s artistry feels like a bold mash-up of Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, and Lil Nas X—three wildly successful artists he seems spiritually aligned with.

Some of his standout tracks like “BIG BIDNESS,” “Waves,” and “Starlight” have already showcased his stylistic versatility. But with his latest release, the aptly titled “EXCiTED,” Virr kicks things into an even higher gear.

“EXCiTED” is bursting with energy—capital letters and all. The production leans into punchy R&B with a pop bounce, creating a vibrant sonic backdrop. Vocally, Virr moves seamlessly between emotionally-charged runs, chill, laid-back lines, and hints of hip-hop cadence. Lyrically, he captures the rush of living in the moment and chasing joy with people who match his vibe.

It’s a thrilling listen—unpredictable, polished, and full of personality. In short, “EXCiTED” is a rollercoaster of good vibes that proves Virr is one to watch.
