Aren’t we all glad Chief Keef made it to 2026?
Growing up is realizing that Chief Keef has actually always been an outstanding artist. I came to that realization a few years ago, once I really started paying attention to how adventurous his music had become. Beneath the raw delivery and unfiltered energy, he’s been quietly experimenting with some genuinely interesting instrumentals and creative choices. Now, with his new single “Harry Potter,” it feels like he’s continuing that same experimental streak — just with even more confidence and zero concern for outside expectations.
The production on “Harry Potter” is eerie and oddly enchanting, blending a dark, mystical atmosphere with enough knock to get the goons moving. It has a steady tempo that feels hypnotic, almost spell-like, while still maintaining that rugged energy Keef thrives in. The beat feels like it exists in its own strange universe, which has always been one of his greatest strengths.
Vocally, Chief Keef sounds completely unchained — like a guy who knows he’s that dude and doesn’t need approval from anyone. He delivers clever, funny punchlines and raw flows, rapping about carrying chopsticks (apparently he’s half-Asian now), being certified in the streets, and staying ready for war at all times. It’s chaotic, confident, and oddly charming in that uniquely Sosa way.
Is the song a little too long? Yeah, probably. But is it unique, entertaining, and strangely addictive? Absolutely.
