With Ye set to take over SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles on April 3, fans are already imagining what the setlist might look like. The venue alone tells you this isn’t just another concert. SoFi is a football stadium, which means Ye likely plans to deliver a performance that feels massive. Pair that with the possibility of “BULLY” dropping around the same time, and the anticipation starts bubbling like a stadium-sized kettle.
If Ye is really about to shake the building, these are five songs he absolutely needs to perform.
5. A New Track From “BULLY”
I mean, duh, right? My guess is this show will act as an extension of Ye’s highly anticipated BULLY rollout. While some tracks might not exactly be stadium-friendly (aka his track “Heil Hitler”), there’s bound to be at least one banger on the project that could get the crowd buzzing. Ye has always loved debuting new material during live performances, and a packed stadium would be the perfect place to test a fresh record in real time. For now, we’ll toss “PREACHER MAN” in as the placeholder.
4. Flashing Lights
If this is supposed to be a comeback tour, emotion has to be part of the equation. And honestly, does it get more emotional than “Flashing Lights?” Sure, Dwele probably won’t pop up for the performance, and who knows if he’s even still making music like that, but that shouldn’t stop Ye from either leaning on the robot lady’s vocals or letting his verses carry the moment.
Not every stadium performance needs fireworks and chaos. Sometimes the energy needs room to breathe, and “Flashing Lights” brings that smooth, hypnotic vibe. With the lights of SoFi glowing over the crowd, the moment could easily turn into one of the most visually stunning parts of the entire show.
3. Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1
There’s a huge caveat with this one. If Ye somehow patched things up with Kid Cudi, then hearing this track live would be incredible. I mean, what is it without Cudi, right? Unfortunately, those two have had more falling-outs than a toddler who just got their tablet taken away. Still, imagine this song being performed in a packed stadium. People would be catching the holy ghost while awkwardly rapping along to lines about bleached you-know-whats. It would instantly remind everyone just how edgy the 2010s really were.
2. Stronger
You had to be there when Ye morphed from a college dropout into a full-blown stadium artist. That transformation really crystallized with “Stronger.”
‘Few songs in his catalog hit with the same explosive energy. The Daft Punk–sampled production still sounds futuristic nearly two decades later, and its pounding rhythm feels tailor-made for massive crowds. It’s the kind of track that’ll have the hippie white folks playing hacky sack outside the venue losing their minds once the beat drops. There’s just something rebellious about it. And if you’re looking for a true stadium anthem, this is it (Remember, SoFi Stadium is a stadium).
1. Runaway
The chances of Kanye West bringing out Pusha T for this performance feel pretty slim, especially since Pusha has been putting belt to Ye’s reputation in recent interviews. Still, “Runaway” is absolutely a song Ye should perform. Few tracks in his catalog are built for dramatic live moments like this one. Those opening piano notes alone could send a stadium into emotional orbit. On top of that, the song almost works like a redemption anthem, a track that loosely mirrors the chaos, controversy, and self-reflection that have surrounded him over the years. I would want to see it.
