Kehlani continues her momentum with a strategic album rollout.
Kehlani has officially announced her next studio album, Kehlani, set for release on April 24. The project will arrive with three alternative vinyl covers, signaling a visually curated rollout to match the music. As one of R&B’s most consistent voices, Kehlani continues to position herself at the center of the genre’s evolving landscape with each new release.
Over the years, she has built a strong catalog of standout tracks, including “Distraction,” “Nights Like This,” “CRZY,” and “Gangsta.” Her collaborative resume is equally notable, including work with artists such as Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Ty Dolla $ign, Chance the Rapper, and G-Eazy. These efforts have helped her maintain a balance between mainstream visibility and emotional depth.
Her momentum surged significantly last year with “Folded,” a June 2025 release that surpassed 400 million streams on Spotify. The track went on to win a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance and inspired numerous remixes across genres, including contributions from hip-hop artists. It became a defining moment in her career, elevating both her commercial reach and critical recognition.
With Kehlani arriving at a peak moment, expectations are naturally high. If the album builds on the emotional resonance and accessibility of “Folded,” it could further cement her status in R&B. At the very least, the three vinyl covers might have collectors debating harder than choosing what to stream first.
