Drake’s dominance needs to be studied.
Drake continues to prove his streaming dominance in 2026, even without a recent solo album. According to Kurrco, he earned the biggest Spotify streaming day for any rapper this year on April 24, collecting 57.8 million streams and surpassing Ye’s previous 2026 peak.
The timing is not random. Drake has been heavily promoting his upcoming album ICEMAN, using a massive block of ice placed in the middle of a Toronto street as part of a viral rollout. The idea spread quickly online and was even replicated by brands trying to capture the same attention.
Still, the real driver is his catalog strength. Songs like “One Dance,” “God’s Plan,” and “NOKIA” continue to dominate streaming platforms daily, proving Drake’s entire discography functions like a constant algorithm favorite.
If this is what happens during the buildup, ICEMAN could push his numbers even higher once it officially releases. The only person who would be able to beat him would be MC Jesus.
