Origami Pt. 2 made me feel like I was stepping into a daydream.

Claudia Isaki and Kojey Radical create a dreamy little world on “Origami Pt. 2,” pairing sensual alternative R&B with a reminder that we don’t have to be perfect to be worthy of love.

“Origami Pt. 2” has a really funky, sensual feel from the jump. The beat is quirky and cool, giving the track a unique personality, while Claudia’s voice shines beautifully over the music. There’s something airy and almost weightless about the production that makes the song feel like it’s floating, but there is still plenty of substance underneath it.

Lyrically, this track is a reminder that nobody is meant to be perfect. I feel like a lot of times, we feel under pressure from the things going on in our lives or our environments, and then we put even more pressure on ourselves. We forget to give ourselves grace and kindness. We forget to remind ourselves that the pressures of the world can be difficult, but they do not define us. If anything, we learn and grow from those experiences.

The track encourages you to love yourself, pour into yourself, and not let the outside world get you down. It’s a simple message, but sometimes those are the ones we need to hear the most.

Claudia Isaki and Kojey Radical are a really strong duo, with her soft voice beautifully contrasting against his deep, rugged rapping. Their different textures make the track even more interesting, while the airy, light, dreamy atmosphere keeps everything feeling effortless.

“Origami Pt. 2” is the kind of song that makes you want to run it back, not only because it sounds good, but because sometimes you need that reminder to be a little kinder to yourself.
