Listen To “Magdalene” By FKA Twigs

img_5105

I have a few questions about “Magdalene:” Why does it look like FKA Twigs is literally melting on the front cover to the album? How did Future end up on the album? Why are all the song titles on the album in lower case? Why does “thousand eyes” sound like an evil church song? I guess all of these questions will be answered after I finish listening to the album… (more…)

Listen To “The Definition Of Loyalty” By J Stone

img_0128

I’m human, and humans should be honest with one another, so I’m going to be honest with you right now: I only listened to this J Stone album because it has some great features. Don’t get me wrong, dude is a solid rapper with real/authentic ties to the west coast, but in the end of the day, an album that features Nipsey Hussle, YG, Jeremih, The Game, Dom Kennedy, and more should be listened to! (GOD bless that man, though (In my Keke Palmer voice)) (more…)

Stream Rich Pablo Juan’s “DMV”

img_0097

Rich Pablo Juan is one of the trappers we tend to underrate. Not only is he a more than capable rapper, but he’s also plugged into the hip-hop game, too. In “DMV,” his latest project, Juan shines by gifting us with music that is grungy, authentically trap, and hustler-influenced.

“DMV” features guest appearances by Wiz Khalifa, Gucci Mane and more! (more…)

Stream Earl Sweatshirt’s “Feet Of Clay”

img_0085

Earl Sweatshirt is hella talented, but also hella unorthodox, too. In “Some Rap Songs,” his last album, I felt like he purposely spit powerful bars over instrumentals that were recovering drug addicts. in “Feet Of Clay,” his latest project, Earl continues to attack junkie ass beats, ultimately sounding like one of those n***as that takes advantage of girls that are passed out from an overdose in club bathrooms (Lyrically, he’s pretty solid on the album, though). Stream Westside Gunn’s “Hitler Wears Hermes 7”

img_0083

Shannon Sharpe may not be fond of Westside Gunn, but we are! Not only is he trill as f**k, but he’s also a proven spitter that has been approved by the great Eminem, too (He’s a Shady records signee). Before releasing “What Would Chine Do” later this year, Westside decided to hit us with a cold ass appetizer titled “Hitler Wears Hermes 7” that features tough ass bars, explosive beats, and tons of Buffalo-approved vibes.

“Hitler Wears Hermes 7” features guest appearances from Fat Joe, Benny The Butcher, DJ Drama and more! (more…)

Stream Gang Starr’s “One Of The Best Yet”

img_0084

Gang Starr is a legendary rap duo that most kids born after 2003 probably don’t know about; that’s mainly because that is the last time they were able to drop an album together. With that being said, “One Of The Best Yet” is what I am assuming to be a helluva swan song for the two rap acts, as on it, you get bars by the late Guru that are real n***a certified, and beats by DJ Premier that are so cold, they come out in hoodies. All in all, I believe true hip-hoppers will love what they hear from this project.

“One Of The Best Yet” features J. Cole, Ne-Yo, M.O.P, Royce Da 5’9 and more! (more…)
