A moody reflection on relationships and change.
M6T returns with a new single titled “going south.” The release follows what has already been a strong 2026 run for the artist, including tracks like “creasing up my sneakers” and “lex,” as well as his project A02.22.
“going south” is built on moody production with a steady pace and synth layers that will blow your f**king mind. The soundscape feels atmospheric and slightly heavy, giving the track a reflective tone from the start.
M6T delivers a vocal performance that sounds emotionally drained but still melodic and catchy. To me, his delivery sits in that space between exhaustion and clarity, which makes the hook stick even harder.
Lyrically, he focuses on making better decisions in relationships and learning to embrace change rather than resisting it. There is a sense of growth running underneath the track, even when the emotions feel complicated.
All in all, “going south” has an intoxicating feel that keeps you glued to the track.
