The original single arrived recently and may become LilGoatD3’s biggest hit. Tyler’s remix should only increase that momentum because he puts his foot in the s**t.
Over the song’s soothing and dreamy production, Tyler avoids unnecessary theatrics. He lowers his head, finds a steady pocket, and raps with the fearlessness of someone who wants to see the beat bullied.
His verse explores several wonderfully Tyler-like topics. He mentions never impregnating a white woman, dreams about finding a permanent relationship, imagines expensive vacations, and promises to protect and support his future partner. The ideas sound romantic until one of his punchlines reminds you exactly who is speaking.
Tyler also lightens his vocal tone significantly. At certain moments, he sounds almost unrecognizable, but the softer approach works beautifully with the production. In all honesty, I had no idea he could sound this charming.
