It’s obvious the hip-hop world is enamored with YSL’s whole drippy movement, and there is nothing Logic or I can do about it. I’m not afraid to admit that I love me some Kehlani! Her youthful style of R&B music has been very enjoyable to listen to these last couple of years. With that being said, for the last few months, a lot of growing up has occurred for the Oakland product outside of music. For starters, she is expecting her first child any minute now, and secondly, she has found a way to deal with the ups and downs that come with having a relationship in the media’s spotlight a lot better. In my opinion, these transgressions has certainly impacted her music, which is why I believe “While We Wait” will show the world a completely different side of the singer. (more…)

In every generation, there is a rapper that comes along that is so far left, they rub older generations the wrong way. In my lifetime, Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em was that guy, and for this generation, the avocado toast/Lamelo Ball-loving generation, Lil Pump is that guy. Today, Pump looks to prove he’s more than just a pip squeak that made it famous by glamorizing drugs and useless behavior with the release of “Harverd Dropout.” How will he do it? Giggs is definitely one of hip-hop’s most heinous acts. His style is grungy, his lyrics are unapologetic, and most importantly, I feel like he does a great job of connecting with every hood around the world. In “BIG BAD…,” I expect Giggs to continue his gritty rap ways, entering 2019 with a bang. Â
