YoungBoy Never Broke Again – Decided (Mixtape Review)

We have to change YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s name to YoungBoy Never Sleeps Again, because he’s been dropping project after project these last couple of weeks. His latest comes less than 24 hours after his 4Loyalty EP dropped, but I don’t think that will have any barring on the effort you get from him on it. (more…)

“YBN: The Mixtape” is our first legitimate chance to figure out if we are riding with the YBN crew for the long run or not. It also gives us a chance to weave them out from all the other young rap acts in the game.  (more…)

Today, he gives us an emotional counterpart to that project called “4Freedom,” and I am expecting some pretty passionate s**t this time around. Can YoungBoy Never Broke Again go 2/2 in less than a week? We shall see below! (more…)

Bas has been relatively quiet these last couple of years, and rightfully so, this era of hip hop tends to ignore clever rappers like himself. But Dreamville’s Scottie Pippen is back, and thankfully, he’s continued to ignore both trap beats and the urge to mumble in favor of rapping over jazzy instrumentals that you would probably hear in a grocery store. Correct, the game missed Cole’s preachy raps when he was gone, but for the fiends like myself that were hanging on to every bit of knowledge Bas was dishing out to us on his previous album (Too High To Riot), we missed him just as much.
