img_4255

In order to fully enjoy a Tyler, The Creator project, I feel like you have to appreciate the ins and outs of the creative instincts that go into making music. In “IGOR,” the Wolf Gang rapper shows that he’s still lapping the field when it comes to that department, gifting us with a twelve track body of work that is fantastic in every facet of music. DJ Khaled – Father Of Asahd (Album Review)

1558065619_0365616a53db4b610b546d10ce873776.jpg

Here are DJ Khaled’s most famous catchphrases: “Another One,” “Major Keys,” “Big Bag Alert,” “Special Cloth Alert,” “LISSSSTEN,””Bless Up,” and my favorite, “Father of Asahd!” While each catchphrase is pretty comical, the last one seems to indicate that there is something Khaled thinks is bigger than he is walking this planet. With that being said, this album is called “Father Of Asahd,” so I expect the chubby DJ’s best music to-date on it. (more…)

Ciara – Beauty Marks (Album Review)

capture.jpg

There’s some people in this world that simply can’t catch a break from fans; Ciara is one of them. I’ve always liked the music she’s been able to make, but for some reason, it seems like she doesn’t get the publicity she deserves. In “Beauty Marks,” I predict all that changing, as the Atlanta native was able to deliver a body of work that is free, fun and empowering for individuals like herself. (more…)

PnB Rock – Trapstar Turnt Popstar (Album Review)

I wouldn’t necessarily call PnB Rock a popstar, but I get it, he’s come a long way. However, Pnb has yet to release a body of work that has impressed me. In “Trapstar Turnt Popstar,” I expect the Pennsylvania singer/rapper to finally find his groove in an industry that is catered for him to dominate (S**t, he sounds like Ty Dolla $ign, so why can’t he dominate hip-hop like Ty does, too?). (more…)

blackbear – ANONYMOUS (Album Review)

Capture

blackbear is such an intriguing artist. Musically, he straddles the line between pop and hip-hop quite a bit, and content-wise, he pours his heart out just as much as he speaks about some braggadocios s**t. In “ANONYMOUS,” his latest effort, the “do re mi” singer only pours his heart out, giving us a body of work that I truly believe will bring a tear to your eyes.” (more…)

Wiz Khalifa “Fly Times, Vol. 1: The Good Fly Young” (Album Review)

I would’ve reviewed this album yesterday, but it was 4/20, so I was high and on the floor of my living room all day yesterday (Just like the guy you see on the picture above… Matter of fact, that’s me in that picture). (more…)

Anderson .Paak – Ventura (Album Review)

capture

Anderson .Paak is the true definition of an artist. I feel like the music he has been able to make in the last 2-3 years has been creative, refreshing and versatile. In .Paak’s previous album, “Oxnard,” I thought he shined brighter than ever, gifting us with everything from hard-hitting rap bangers to soulful gems. In “Ventura,” the album I will be talking about below, .Paak focuses solely on soul, which I expect results in nothing but timeless hits both you and your grandparents can enjoy listening to.
