SydeTrak is one of those up and coming artists that I find very intriguing to listen to. From a first few listens, I noticed that he sees no boundaries when he makes music, blending in Pop and Rap as seamlessly as I’ve heard before. Rocky Jones is cold on the mic, so when I heard he was dropping this collaboration album with his Vulture gang crew that it will be something serious for real rap fans. Doesn’t it seem like Young Thug is one of those artists that we often take as a joke? Yea he looks like he could be Beetle Juice’s assistant, but to many, he also makes pretty damn good music. I think the reason that most people are hesitant to call him a good artist right now is because he hasn’t put out an official album yet. In the mean time, he’s been putting out Mixtape after Mixtape with above average music. Though ‘Slime Season 3’ isn’t an album either, it is another way to see if his music has grown or not. Let’s find out.

Big Sean and Jhene Aiko just released a (somewhat) surprise album called ‘TWENTY88’. They’ve collaborated a few times in the past, and I’ve always liked their chemistry. What I find very interesting about this particular collaboration is the perceptions that they’re giving off as they promote this album: They have a magazine cover where they look coupled up, an album cover where they look like they’re taking a selfie in the shower, and been really touchy feely on performances they’ve done for their singles. Everything seems very relationshipy to me, and I thought Jhene was engaged to someone else… Well I don’t really care if there’s something going on between the two that shouldn’t be going on, but I’ll tell you who might care though: D’Angelo Russell.
