Tyga – Legendary (Album Review)

What does Tyga and Tiger Woods both have in common? They share similar names, but most importantly, they both have had major comebacks in 2019. While Tiger completed his comeback story with a masters win, Tyga looks to follow suit by releasing “Legendary” — his most anticipated album in nearly 10 years. Can the self-proclaimed comeback kid shock the world? We shall see… (more…)

Temp – Remember Me (Album Review)

If you ask me, Temp has superstar written all over him. Not only is he a duo threat — having the ability to both rap and sing equally as well — but he also has this appeal to his artistry that is glaring. In his newest project, “Remember Me,” Temp tries to navigate through a promising run in the game while also maintaining the same level of hunger he had when he first started rapping. (more…)

In order to fully enjoy a Tyler, The Creator project, I feel like you have to appreciate the ins and outs of the creative instincts that go into making music. DJ Khaled – Father Of Asahd (Album Review)

Here are DJ Khaled’s most famous catchphrases: “Another One,” “Major Keys,” “Big Bag Alert,” “Special Cloth Alert,” “LISSSSTEN,””Bless Up,” and my favorite, “Father of Asahd!” While each catchphrase is pretty comical, the last one seems to indicate that there is something Khaled thinks is bigger than he is walking this planet. With that being said, this album is called “Father Of Asahd,” so I expect the chubby DJ’s best music to-date on it. (more…)

Ciara – Beauty Marks (Album Review)

There’s some people in this world that simply can’t catch a break from fans; Ciara is one of them. I’ve always liked the music she’s been able to make, but for some reason, it seems like she doesn’t get the publicity she deserves. In “Beauty Marks,” I predict all that changing, as the Atlanta native was able to deliver a body of work that is free, fun and empowering for individuals like herself. (more…)

Logic – Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind (Album Review)

Logic’s ascension from really good underground rapper to one of the hottest artists in the game has been quick and deserving. In the last three years, he has dropped five major projects, with three of them being actual studio albums. While some would think such a feat will result in watered down music, instead, what you get from the Gaithersburg native are tunes that never let up when it comes to impact. In “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind,” one of his latest studio albums, Logic pieces together a body of work that is enjoyable to listen to, but also pretty meaningful. (more…)

PnB Rock – Trapstar Turnt Popstar (Album Review)

1556855265_bcac84d973dc913b4cbaf8757860423c.jpg

I wouldn’t necessarily call PnB Rock a popstar, but I get it, he’s come a long way. However, Pnb has yet to release a body of work that has impressed me. In “Trapstar Turnt Popstar,” I expect the Pennsylvania singer/rapper to finally find his groove in an industry that is catered for him to dominate (S**t, he sounds like Ty Dolla $ign, so why can’t he dominate hip-hop like Ty does, too?). (more…)
