Late last year, after listening to “Imma Dog,” I realized that Ugly God was actually an artist that I can take seriously. With the release of “Bumps & Bruises,” his debut album, the Texas rapper continues to tease us with his low-key potential, blessing us with fourteen short, but sweet tracks that features catchy hooks, carefree sentiments, and surprisingly, tough ass bars. Blac Youngsta – 2.23 (Album Review)

Blac Youngsta clearly doesn’t mind fitting into the stereotypes that comes with being a rapper: He’s loud, he’s reckless, and if you play with his money, he can become violent! XXXTENTACION – 17 (Album Review)

The most popular thing to do is to label a wild teen like XXXTENTACION as a waste of time to listen to; however, what I hear when I listen to him is an opportunity for a regular Joe like myself to enter into the mind of a rebellious teen that doesn’t care for the boxes that society wants to put him in.
