Lil Peep – Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2 (Album Review)

img_3025

Lil Peep’s scary tales of drug abuse and heartbreak resonates quite a bit with me, especially now that he’s gone. In the chilling “Come Over When You’re Sober, Pt. 2,” the fallen rapper discusses some of these tales, gifting us with a body of work that is beyond bittersweet. (more…)

MoneyBagg Yo – RESET (Album Review)

When it comes to listening to authentic/unadulterated trap music, MoneyBagg Yo is one of my go-to-artists! Something about his persona resonates with me, despite the fact that the words ‘Money Bag,’  ‘Trap’ or even ‘Yo’ represent things I know absolutely nothing about. For one, he isn’t really a rapper, and secondly, he hasn’t really produced a bunch of new music. Nonetheless, he’s remained relevant, and as a result, “Poison,” his first album since 2007, is one of the most anticipated in hip hop this year. (more…)

Action Bronson is one funny ass dude. When he raps, you never know which angle he’s going to come from, which usually sparks confusion and plenty of WTF moments. In “White Bronco,” he doesn’t change his style, only the type of instrumentals he raps over. (more…)
